My thoughts on "Change"

With each new revelation about how little business execs and politicians actually know or do I'm convinced most of them are brain damaged. The ones who have a functioning brain have bled us dry with their greed and cronyism or have fallen asleep at the wheel and have become complacent. They have done astonishingly little actual work, done very little to advance this nation, and may have actually set us back all because they were receiving a very nice paycheck. The sooner we get them replaced by a younger generation that is capable and motivated to change things, the better for all of us, including the baby boomers. Many say we are headed towards socialism. I don't see it that way. I see a group of young people who envision a more equitable distribution of this country's abundance and a desire to make things better for all once we are able to eliminate the corrupt and wasteful ways of our parent's generation. It's time to hit the reset button. Government and big business has been doing it wrong for way too long. We all recognize it but at the moment are powerless to make any real change. And we do need change. We can solve all of our problems. I'm going to take a stab at it right here on this blog. Problems to tackle: education, environment, economy, homelessness, hunger, joblessness, discrimination, crime & criminal justice, foreign policy, health, poverty and anything else I can think of. This sounds crazy, I'm aware. I've been getting the feeling lately that if I try to wrap my brain around these issues and offer a solution it will make me feel better. I'm currently unemployed and it is quite demoralizing and makes me feel useless. I've got to do something to keep my mind strong and my spirits up. So i express my thoughts at my little keyboard here. Hope I didn't scare you.

ever think about getting into politics? I know I do because I'm so frustrated with the way everything is happening. The problem is, I wasn't born here so I could never be president (and my family didn't plan a conspiracy to get me a false birth certificate). If you can't get the top job, then what's the point?!?

Yeah, I've thought about it since I was a child. However, I'm not sure how successful I would be because of my beliefs in things like ethics, honesty, hard work, and transparency. People with those qualities don't seem to last too long in politics. Maybe sooner rather than later we'll wake up and realize it is not to late to start holding people, especially politicians, accountable for their actions that affect so many who at the moment are helpless and powerless. We have given up so many of our rights and freedoms that we no longer can DEMAND things of our government. Sad Sad Sad.
