NASA's Moon Rocket

Am I unpatriotic or is the entire "space program" really frivolous? I hope I'm not alone here, but I don't like reading stories about NASA spending $79M on a rocket they are sending to bomb the moon. We have so many problems right here on Earth that need to be addressed before we start further exploring space. Can't all those NASA people find work elsewhere? Let them have a crack at Wall St., after all they are rocket scientists, right? And who are we to go blowing up pieces of the moon? What if? What if the whole thing is fragile inside and we inadvertently blow it up? Yikes, right? And who gave us permission anyway, GOD? I think this is a BAD decision. Can't we just scrap the whole space program? Sorry, but I think it's overrated and misguided and basically useless, pointless, and extremely wasteful. There, I said it. Now I have to go try to find my heart and imagination....
